Art Director

We’re seeking an Art Director (Copenhagen - on location) to lead GripGrab’s visual identity and bring our brand storytelling to life. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creative direction, brand-building, and designing compelling visual narratives that connect with cyclists worldwide. 

Key Responsibilities

1.    Creative Direction

  • Develop and execute creative concepts for campaigns, sponsorship activations, and product launches that resonate with cycling audiences.
  • Ensure all visual assets aligned with GripGrab’s Scandinavian-inspired brand identity and emphasize the cycling lifestyle.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to craft cohesive and engaging visual narratives.

2.    Brand Development

  • Refine and evolve GripGrab’s corporate visual identity (CVI) to maintain relevance in the cycling and active lifestyle markets.
  • Ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints, from packaging and product visuals to marketing campaigns and sponsorship activations.

3.    Visual Storytelling & Campaign Execution

  • Oversee the creative vision for digital, print, and social media campaigns, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Guide external creative partners (photographers, videographers, and agencies) to deliver assets that align with brand objectives.

4.    Collaboration and Mentorship

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure visual alignment across all GripGrab communications.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers and freelancers to maintain high creative standards.

5.    Trend Awareness

  • Stay ahead of design trends and developments within the cycling industry to ensure GripGrab remains visually compelling and relevant.

Key Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who blends artistic vision with deep brand understanding:

  • Experience: 5+ years as an Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer, or similar, ideally within cycling, sports, or active lifestyle industries.
  • Creative Vision: Proven ability to develop and execute creative ideas that resonate with cycling and active lifestyle audiences.
  • Strategic Brand Thinking: Ability to translate marketing and brand objectives into visually compelling creative solutions.
  • Cycling Passion: A strong interest in cycling and outdoor activities, ensuring authenticity in creative output is a plus.
  • Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing brand storytelling, campaign work, and cycling or sports-related creative direction.
