We start with the challenges riders face. Cold, rain, wind. Long hours in heat.
From there, we try to solve those problems. Removing distractions and making it easier to stay focused on the ride.
We care about the details. How things fit, how they feel. How they work when you are actually riding. So we test. We adjust. We simplify. Always with the same goal. To make the ride better.
GripGrab began in 2000 with a simple problem. Deep in the forests around Roskilde, Kristian Krøyer spent his days riding mountain bikes.Pushing through mud, rain, and cold. Riding further, longer, and often beyond what the conditions allowed.
But the gear did not match the ride.
Cold hands. Wet fabrics. Distractions that took focus away from what mattered.
Instead of accepting it, Kristian set out to change it. What started as a search for better gloves became a commitment to create something that worked. Not in theory, but out on the trail.
Shortly after, his brother Martin joined. What began with answering phones and visiting local bike shops quickly turned into something bigger. Together, they built GripGrab step by step. Combining product, sales, and a deep connection to the cycling community.
From the very beginning, the mindset was clear. Solve real problems. Refine every detail. Stay close to the ride.Today, Martin and Kristian still lead the company. Martin as CEO. Kristian as CPO.The approach has not changed. We design products that remove distractions and make it possible to keep riding. Through changing conditions. Through the seasons. Again and again.
