Q&A
How do these differ from the regular Descent summer gloves? They keep the close, direct feel of the Descent summer glove but add extra warmth for cooler spring, autumn, and mild winter conditions. The warmer construction and improved wind protection make them better suited to cooler weather without adding the bulk of a traditional winter glove. What does InsideGrip™ actually do? InsideGrip™ helps keep your hand stable inside the glove, which improves grip and control on the bike. When riding MTB, your hands are constantly making small adjustments as you move on the bike, brake, and shift gears. By reducing movement between your hand and the glove, InsideGrip™ helps maintain a more direct connection to the handlebar and supports better bar feel. Are these gloves windproof? Yes. The back of the glove uses a windproof softshell fabric that helps block cold wind and makes the gloves noticeably warmer than the regular Descent summer gloves, while still keeping a close, low-bulk feel. What temperatures are these gloves suitable for? Our test riders have used them in temperatures down to around 4–5°C. However, the exact temperature range will vary depending on factors such as riding intensity, weather conditions, the rest of your clothing, and how sensitive your hands are to the cold. Do they feel bulky compared with a summer glove? No. Although they provide noticeably more warmth, the glove still feels very close to a summer glove and maintains excellent dexterity and bar feel without a bulky winter-glove feel.
