The GripGrab Ultralight Mesh Sleeveless Base Layer is your go-to base layer for summer cycling in sweltering heat. The featherweight open-weave mesh material allows your skin to breathe while quickly moving sweat away from your body to leave you dry and comfortable.

To keep you fresh and odour-free, this base layer features Polygiene® treatment (biocide: silver chloride). Its 'Wear More. Wash Less®' technology uses silver ions to reduce the build-up of odour-inducing bacteria. The treatment is entirely safe to wear against the skin and doesn’t wash out. Reduced bacteria build-up leads to reduced odour and therefore reduced washing frequency, meaning that Polygiene® can also significantly extend the life of a base layer and minimise its environmental impact.

The GripGrab Ultralight Mesh Sleeveless Base Layer offers you the comfort to keep riding in the hottest conditions. With minimum weight but maximum breathability, it has all the performance and functionality you need when working hard in the summer heat.

Why should you wear a base layer in summer?
A summer base layer dramatically improves moisture-wicking performance in a hot weather cycling outfit. The open weave structure of a base layer moves sweat away from your body as you work hard on the climb; so, you are not wet-through and prone to chills on the subsequent descent. Due to its superior next-to-skin comfort, a summer base layer reduces skin irritation by removing the friction between the seams of your cycling jersey and your skin.

What temperature range do you recommend this base layer for?
This base layer is the lightest in our range and is perfect for your hot summer rides. We recommend the Ultralight Mesh Base Layer for temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius. Even when the temperature hits 30+ this base layer continues to excel.

Is the Polygiene treatment safe for my skin?
Polygiene is used exclusively on textiles and is tested for skin compatibility. Polygiene is not nanosilver.

Does the treatment still work after several washes?
Polygiene is permanently incorporated into the fabric and therefore cannot be washed out.
