Q&A
What is the PACR Emergency Jacket designed for? It is designed as a just-in-case layer for changing conditions during a ride! For example sudden rain showers, long descents, or stops when body temperature drops. It is not intended to replace a dedicated all-day rain jacket. Pick our PACR. Is the jacket fully waterproof? Yes. The jacket uses a 2.5-layer waterproof fabric with a 10,000 mm rating, fully taped seams, and a waterproof YKK 2-way zipper. How breathable is it? With a 10,000 g/m²/24h breathability it’s enough of a balance to keep you comfortable warm and dry, exactly what you want of an Emergency down pour. How small does it pack down? The jacket is designed to fold compactly and fit inside a standard cycling jersey pocket. It weighs approximately 99 g (size Medium). Does the jacket have pockets? No. To keep weight and bulk to a minimum, the jacket has no pockets. The 2-way zipper allows access to jersey pockets underneath. Can I use it as my daily rain jacket? No. The PACR Emergency Jacket is intended for occasional use in changing conditions. Frequent, prolonged wet-weather riding is better suited to a heavier, more durable rain jacket like our PACR waterproof lightweight jacket. Is it windproof? Yes. The waterproof membrane also acts as a windproof barrier, making it particularly effective during cold descents. What fit does it have? It has a race fit — close-fitting to reduce flapping fabric and improve comfort when riding in windy or wet conditions.
